They Just Want a Home
Vacation Home?
It might be.
But, in my imagination, it is a home for someone’s grandmother. Or, a young couple starting out: she’s a barista and he’s an artist. They don’t have a lot of money. Or, it might be someone on a fixed income with limited financial resources. It’s part of a small village of tiny homes.
Only some zoning permits these smaller dwellings, or a few of them set up on someone’s land. It’s too bad really … where they don’t permit these, I imagine these persons couch-surfing or on the street … destitute.
Meanwhile, the government wrings their hands (and public budgets) trying to figure out affordable housing.
How Come it Wasn’t Complicated?
I guess zoning is complicated. But at one time in history, it wasn’t.
